Notes: From Anderson: The plates of the third edition of Carel Allard's work were used by another publisher for L'Art de batir les Vaisseaux, a French work printed at Amsterdam in 1719. The text of this is taken partly from the same source as the plates, partly direct from Witsen and Van Yk, whose book will be mentioned shortly. The flags were collected in a second Part which, although apparently printed a year earlier, contains an index to both parts
