Notes: From Anderson: Published at Amsterdam in 1702. It is written in French with the Dutch equivalents given. Besides numerous illustrations in the text there are 24 plates. The rigged ship is the same as in L'Art de batir less Vaisseaux, but most of the plates are new. A second edition, the one most usually found, appeared at Amsterdam in 1736 and a third at Paris in 1747. The first edition has 791 pages, the second and third 879.
