The book consists of two Parts of some 300 pages each, but the details of shipbuilding are mainly to be found on some 26 pages of the second Part; chapter 14, "On the Builders and Building of Ships," and chapter 15, "On the Measurer and Measurements of Ships." In the latter chapter the example used is the San Yoseph of 40 ft. beam, said to have served as a flagship for several years.
