The original edition has been reprinted three times in recent years, in 1884, 1907 and 1910, in complete editions of Captain John Smith's Works.
From Anderson:
A second edition, under the title A Sea Grammar..., was published in 1627, and a third, without the author's name and with a preface by B. F., in 1636; this had the title An Accidence for the Sea.... All these are octavo editions. The original edition has been reprinted three times in recent years, in 1884, 1907 and 1910, in complete editions of Captain John Smith's Works. The greater part of this work is merely a series of lists of unexplained technical terms. Its value rests mainly on its early date and its rarity.
In 1653 a new version appeared under the title The Seaman's Grammar, very much enlarged by another writer and divided into fifteen chapters.
This was reprinted with additions in 1691 and in the following year this final version was reissued with a new title-page, The Seaman's Grammar and Dktionary final form the book consists of 163 pages. The three last editions are all quarto volumes.
